2005-10-04 (14.00 pm) : Gain Scheduling for LPV Systems
At Auditoire Euler
Organized by Mathematical Engineering

Abstract :
Gain scheduling is a long-standing procedure for
designing controllers for plants which contain varying
parameters. Nevertheless, several theoretical issues remain.
These include ensuring that good performance is retained
when parameters can move smoothly but quickly, or switch,
between their various possible settings. Good design for frozen
values does not ensure that even stability, let alone performance,
is retained when parameter values can change fast. In this talk, we
consider a class of plants in which the parameter values are derived
from physical quantities and for which stability and some performance
properties can be assured, even in the face of rapid variations
