2010-12-09 (16.30) : Colloquium CESAME-MAPA - Random matrix theory and stochastic geometry in compressed sensing

At Auditoire Ch.-J. de La Vallée Poussin (Cycl.01)

Organized by Mathematical Engineering

Speaker : Jared TANNER (University of Edinburgh)
Abstract : Compressed sensing is a new paradigm in signal processing, showing that for signal which are compressible, one can directly make compressible measurements of the optimal order in a simple linear way. The majority of the results in this field are proven by establishing new results in random matrix theory and stochastic geometry. This new theory and its methods of analysis will be discussed.
